BACOLOD CITY - The third batch of augmentation personnel composed of 864 policemen was deployed here to help secure the highlights of the 43rd MassKara Festival from Oct. 21 to Oct. 23, and the visit of President Marcos Jr., and Vice President Sara Duterte.

The last batch of augmentation personnel arrived at the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) on Thursday, Oct. 20.
They came from Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas, and police offices in Guimaras, Negros Occidental, and Iloilo province.
These personnel were added to the 1,669 security forces that were initially deployed for the MassKara Festival on Oct. 1.
As of Oct. 20, at least 2,174 policemen, and 358 force multipliers and other uniformed personnel were deployed for the festivity until Oct. 23.
Of the 2,174 policemen, 813 were BCPO personnel, while the remaining 1,361 were augmentation personnel.
A total of 2,057 police non-commissioned officers, and 77 police commissioned officers have been assigned for the series of events highlighting the festivities.
Marcos and his family, and the vice president are expected to grace the MassKara Street Dance and Arena competition at the Paglaum Stadium on Oct. 23.
First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos will also be attending a charity event dubbed MassKarade Ball at the SMX Convention Center at SM City Bacolod on Oct. 21, which will benefit the Operation Smile that targets indigent children with cleft lip and palate deformities.
