At least 17 drug suspects have been arrested in anti-illegal drug operations conducted by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), Police Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III, QCDP director, announced on Thursday, Oct. 20.
One of the suspects -- Rizalino Ancheta Simbulan Jr., 39 , a resident of Cubao, Quezon City, listed as No. 6 Most Wanted Person of Tarlac City – was apprehended by members of Kamuning Police Station (PS 10).
Also arrested were Misraim Panoringan Mamauag, 27, resident of Brgy. Malaya, Quezon City; Richard Estrado Martinez, 31; and Clarrise Anne Evagelista Catalan, 23, both residents of Brgy. West Kamias, Quezon City. They were nabbed during an operation conducted at Room 14, R and J Apartelle on Kamias St. in Brgy. Pinyahan, Quezon City at about 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 19.
Confiscated from them were 0.4 grams of shabu valued at P2,720 and several drug paraphernalia.
Members of La Loma Police Station (PS 1) also arrested Edzel Ablaza Cabangon, 24; Martin Asilo, 34, both residents of Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City; Gel Santos Reyes, 41, of Manila; and Wilmer Nablea, 40, of Brgy. Sto. Domingo, Quezon City, on Don Pepe St. in Brgy. Sto. Domingo at about 2 a.m. on Oct. 20.
Police said they were verifying an alleged on-going illegal drug activity at the area when they caught the suspects playing “cara y cruz”. Confiscated from the suspects were one gram of shabu valued at P6,800.00.
Operatives of Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) also arrested Kelly dela Cruz, 18, a resident of Brgy. Balon Bato, Quezon City, at Service Road, Ilalim ng Tulay in Brgy. Unang Sigaw, Quezon City at about 8:40 p.m. on Oct. 19.
Authorities were conducting Oplan Bulabog when they saw the suspect holding a firearm in. When the suspect noticed the presence of the police officers, he tried to elude the arrest but was cornered.
Recovered from his possession were a .22-caliber Magnum North American Arms Black Widow pistol, three ammunition, 1.50 grams of shabu valued at P10,500.00, and 1.40 grams of marijuana valued at P168.00.
In another separate operation, Batasan Police Station (PS 6) apprehended Ricky Pabia dela Torre, 42, and Jefferson Into Agarao, 29, both residents of Brgy. Commonwealth at about 7:50 p.m. on Oct. 19 at Kasunduan St., Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City.
Police confiscated one gram of shabu worth P6,800.00 and the buy-bust money from the suspects.
Also apprehended were Elsie Padagyhag Lagata, 40, and Mary Ann Barias Alabat, 43, both residents of Brgy. E. Rodriguez St., Cubao, Quezon City during an operation conducted by members of Cubao Police Station (PS 7) at Cambridge St., Brgy. E. Rodriguez, Cubao, Quezon City. at about 11:10 p.m. on Oct. 19.
Confiscated from them were three grams of shabu valued at P20,400.00 and the buy-bust money.
Project 4 Police Station (PS ) also arrested Richie Arabis, 36, and Melvin Villas, 21, both residents of Brgy. Pansol, Quezon City at P. Burgos St., Brgy. Escopa 3, Project 4, Quezon City at about 12:10 a.m. on Oct. 20.
At least P3,400.00 worth of shabu and the buy-bust money were confiscated from the suspects.
Operatives of Project 6 Police Station (PS 15) arrested Richard Mahinay, 35, and Pearl Joy Order, both residents of Brgy. Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City at Agham Rd. corner Kalye 11, Brgy. Pag-asa, Quezon City at around 1:55 p.m. on Oct. 19.
Seized from them were two grams of shabu valued at P13,600.00 and the buy-bust money.
The arrested suspects will be charged for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
