113 Cordillera cops start BISOC training


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – One-hundred thirteen policemen from the Cordillera region are taking the 60-day Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) in Camp Elias K. Bulut Sr. in Luna, Apayao as part of the Philippine National Police program to combat insurgency and terrorism.

The opening ceremony was held in Camp Gov. Elias K. Bulut Sr. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, and was spearheaded by Col. Jefferson Cariaga, Apayao Provincial Police Office chief.

Apayao Gov. Elias C. Bulut Jr. was guest of honor and speaker.

Bulut thanked the trainees for their service and encouraged them to make the most out of their training to make Apayao a safer place to live, work, and do business.

He reaffirmed s support for the PNP’s anti-insurgency efforts.

Cariaga said that the training aims to develop the personal effectiveness and capability of the police force in handling internal security operations as well as develop initiatives and attitudes that could best help them live up to their duties and responsibilities.
