Seaman stabs wife to death in Cagayan

CAMP Marcelo A. Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – A 28-year-old seaman allegedly stabbed his wife to death in their home in Barangay Centro 2, Sanchez Mira, Cagayan on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Police identified the suspect as Joshua Mark Puzon of Barangay D' Leaño, Claveria.

Sanchez Mira police said the victim, Pamela Jane Puzon, was inside their house with their two children when the suspect arrived and knocked on the door.

Pamela opened the door and was suddenly stabbed by the suspect multiple times.

Their five-year-old son saw his father killing his mother and went outside to ask for help from neighbors.

Pamela’s younger brother who was on his way home reported the incident to the police.

The victim was taken to the hospital but she died while being treated by doctors.

Joshua fled and was arrested at his grandmother's house in Poblacion West, Flora, Apayao.

A parricide has been filed against the suspect who is in the custody of the Sanchez Mira police station.
