PCG medical, dental mission benefits 1K Batangueños

Over a thousand residents from Batangas benefitted from a “mega” medical and dental mission conducted by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Malvar town on Sunday, Oct. 2.

Adm. Artemio Abu, PCG Commandant, spearheaded the activity at the Malvar Sports Complex. in cooperation with the PCG Auxiliary (PCGA), and medical and dental teams from the Chinese General Hospital.

According to PCG, a total of 1,089 beneficiaries were servedduring one of its biggest medical and dental missions in the province.

During the event, 289 residents became beneficiaries of medical checkups, 216 were recipients of dental checkups, and 584 were beneficiaries of the PCG’s gift-giving activity.

Abu said that the activity was held ahead of the PCG’s 121st founding anniversary celebration on October 15.
