Wil Dasovich wins vlog challenge anew, takes home $100,000
"We did it!!!"
This is what online content creator Wil Dasovich wrote in his recent social media post hsaring with fans that his Nepal trip videos won the World Vlog Challenge.

"I just want to make you all proud & it’s moments like these where I get to represent an entire country that make me feel like I’m creating an impact. This single Nepal video was arguably the most difficult video to produce to date and getting millions of people to watch these carefully crafted mini documentaries that promote a meaningful cause is the highest accomplishment i can achieve as a content creator. Capture with entertainment (the bait), leave with life lessons and a greater appreciation for life and the beauties that planet earth beholds. Mission accomplished," he said.
In his acceptance speech, Wil couldn't help but feel emotional.
According to him, as a content creator, it’s extremely difficult to make a piece that is both entertaining and meaningful and that has an impact on the world.
“It’s something I think I and many creators struggle with. Because it’s easy to be entertaining and get a lot of views. And it’s easy to make a piece that’s informative but it’s really difficult to bind those two together. So the amount of work it took to create this vlog was easily more than month including the two weeks of hiking, the weeks in the editing cave, the weeks of writing, and to receive a recognition like this, it means a lot,” he said.
“I was getting emotional because there’s so much that we all went through during that hike in the Himalayas. So much mentally, physically, emotionally. A lot of tears were shed. There’s a lot of stuff personally I was going through that I never really shared,” he added.
“Just to be here, it’s an honor. And getting the point across about climate change and the whole purpose of this thing is to get as many eyeballs as we can on things that matter in this world.”
Because of his latest milestone, Wil was able to bring home a whopping $100,000 cash prize.
July last year, Wil also won the VlogFest featuring Malta, earning $30,000 for it.
