CEBU CITY –Three most wanted persons were arrested during the implementation of arrest warrants in Central Visayas on Monday, Oct. 17, the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO 7) announced.

Brig. Gen. Roderick Augustus Alba, chief of PRO 7, identified the suspects as Edilberto Sumalinog Francisco, 46, of Suba-Masulog, Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City; Emma Misa Anglit, 50, of Barangay Cogon, Tuburan, Cebu; and Agustin Andujar Sumayang, 23, of Barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City.
Francisco, tagged as the No. 3 most wanted person in Lapu-Lapu City, was arrested by the City Investigation and Detective Management Unit and Police Station 2 of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office.
Francisco is wanted for four counts of lasciviousness punishable under Republic Act (RA) 7610, a law that protects children from abuses, exploitation, and discrimination.
The warrant against Francisco was issued by Presiding Judge Jose Alfonso Gomos of the Family Court, Branch 5, in Lapu-Lapu City.
Anglit was listed as the No. 1 most wanted person in the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 7 for theft and violation of the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 or RA 10883.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Mandaue City Field Unit, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Cebu Police Provincial Office, City Mobile Force Company, Cebu City Police Office, and Regional Intelligence Unit 7 arrested Sumayang, the No. 2 most wanted person, for rape.
“The arrest of most wanted persons in the region is another notable achievement of PRO7 against wanted persons,” said Alba.
