Man shot dead over unpaid debt in Indang, Cavite

INDANG, Cavite – A man was shot dead in Barangay Buna Lejos I amid an argument over unpaid debt on Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Cavite Police Provincial Office identified the suspect as Cerilo Berber.

Investigation showed Berber owed money to the victim, Willy Costa.

On Tuesday, the suspect and the victim reportedly engaged in a heated argument about the debt, which led to the shooting.

Costa was immediately brought to the hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.

Police are conducting a follow-up operation to arrest Berber.
