Lady cop shot, wounded in Quirino

MADDELA, Quirino – A policewoman was shot and wounded by a lone gunman in front of her house in Barangay Villa Norte here on Saturday, Oct. 15.

A belated report identified the victim as Corporal Riza Olosan, married, assigned to the Maddela police station.

Investigation said the victim had just alighted from a vehicle when she was shot at 10:44 p.m.

Olosan sustained bullet wounds in the neck and was taken to the Maddela District Hospital and transferred to the Santiago Medical City. She is now in stable condition.

The vehicle had two bullet holes in the windshield and passenger side.

The gunman fled and the subject of a police manhunt.

Police here only found out about the shooting when the Maddela District Hospital reported that a policewoman was admitted due to bullet wounds.
