The capsule is said to be inspired by British modernism

One of the most successful designer collaborations of Uniqlo is with British fashion label, JW Anderson. This October 2022, they are marking their fifth anniversary elevating luxurious and chic pieces in the form of sweaters, lightweight jackets, and padded outerwear.

This collection is said to be inspired by British modernism, focusing on functionality and rationality in the use of materials. “Colors are strong, chic autumnal hues reflecting the bold interiors of the house and fabrics are clean, lux feeling,” describes the brand. “Silhouettes focus on a sharp and stripped back image to create a wardrobe which feels timeless and quintessentially British added to our LifeWear.”

The collection includes pieces in warm colors of tobacco, evergreen, navy blue, gray, and hints of red.

In an interview with Uniqlo, Anderson explored how this collection is inspired by architecture. “There are some great examples of modern British architecture that served as inspiration for this season – mainly those that have a stripped back, minimalist sensibility,” says the designer. “There’s simplicity but also attention to detail that we wanted to convey in the collection, that comes from the design codes of architectural minimalism.”
