Common-law husband stabs wife to death in front of two children in Negros town
BACOLOD CITY - Jealousy triggered a man to kill his common-law wife in front of their two minor children at Sitio Kalubihan, Barangay Camang-Camang, Isabela, Negros Occidental on Monday, Oct. 17.
The victim was identified as Digna Bordago, 65, of Barangay Camang-Camang.
Isabela police chief Capt. Joseph Partidas said the victim and her two children - a boy and a girl, left their house early that day to remove weeds from the grasses at the sugarcane field.

However, her common-law husband Fredo Camacho followed them, and without any confrontation, he allegedly stabbed the victim in the chest, Partidas said.
The victim died on the spot. The husband fled and left their two children in the crime scene.
Partidas said the couple never argued according to their relatives, but one time, when the victim went to the house of their daughter to take care of their grandchild, Camacho reportedly felt bad about it.
Partidas said that Camacho was allegedly jealous of his daughter’s husband.
Partidas said the suspect is still at large.
