CEBU CITY – A 33-year-old teacher was found dead with stab wounds inside the teacher’s office of the Inuboran Elementary School in Barangay Inuboran, City of Naga, Cebu on Sunday, Oct. 16.

Police identified the victim as Jhun Leo Panares of Barangay Tinaan, City of Naga.
Major Junnel Caadlawon, chief of the City of Naga police station, said a co-teacher found the victim at past 1 p.m. and had a cable wire tied around his neck.
Panares’ personal belongings and a kitchen knife were found in the office.
In a report to the Cebu Provincial Police Office, Caadlawon said follow-up investigation is ongoing to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive of the crime.
City of Naga Mayor Valdemar Chiong has offered a reward of P50,000 to anyone who could give information that would help police solve the crime.
