Police probe death of nursing student in Mandaue City

CEBU CITY – Police are investigating the death of a nursing student inside the campus of a private university in Mandaue City.

Photos of the female student from Liloan, Cebu slumped on the ground in front of a school building circulated online shortly after the incident happened on Monday morning, Oct. 17.

The family of the victim requested the police not to disclose her identity, said Major John Libres, chief of the Opa Police Station in Mandaue City.

Libres told reporters that according to the family, the student was doing well in her studies.

Police have yet to determine whether the student jumped or fell from the school building.
