Former MPL PH coaches make great strides overseas as Zico, Dale qualify to M4
At least four Filipino Mobile Legends coaches are set to strut their wares so far in the M4 World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia in January.
Apart from the two mentors who will be coming from the two MPL Philippine teams, two other former MPL PH coaches made great strides in their careers overseas and managed to qualify to the crowning tournament of the professional Mobile Legend esports scene.

First it was John Michael “Zico” Dizon who steered his team Burn X Flash to a title in the MPL KH Autumn Split 2022 after clobbering Logic Eports in the finale, 3-1, and punched their ticket to the M4.
Weeks after, it was then Steven “Dale” Vitug’s turn to tow his team to the World Championship after helping Falcon Esports soar to a masterful 3-1 victory over Fenix Esports in the Finals of M4 World Championships: Myanmar qualifiers.
Interestingly, Zico and Dale, who both coached in the MPL Philippines with Nexplay Evos and Omega Esports, respectively, will be making their second M-series World Championship appearances.
Zico first reached the Worlds during M1 when he was still a player for the Onic Philippines while Dale made his first appearance during M3 when he was still part of Omega Esports as its coach.
Other former MPL PH coaches still vying for spots in the Worlds are coach Denver “Yeb” Miranda of Onic Esports, coach Vrendon “Vren” Lin of Bigetron Alpha, and Michael Angelo "Arcadia" Bocado in the MPL Indonesia.
With Yeb at the helm along with Filipino star jungler Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol, Onic Esports topped the regular season with an 11-3 slate and secured one of the two outright upper bracket semis slots.
Vren, along with another Filipino player in Marky “Markyyy” Carpaccio, look to overcome Rebellion Zion in the first round of the playoffs after it wrapped up the elimination with an even 7-7 record. A win by Bigetron in that match up will put Vren and Markyyy in a collision course against Yeb and Kairi in the upper bracket semifinals.
Arcadia, meanwhile, led RRQ Hoshi to a second spot finish in the regular season with a 9-5 slate. His team, just like Onic, advanced to the upper bracket semifinals of the MPL ID playoffs.
