The Department of Health (DOH)-Metro Manila Center for Health Development (MMCHD) cited the city government of Las Piñas for its high quality of health services.
Vice-Mayor April Aguilar said the city government was recognized for its outstanding financial compliance in efficiently utilizing DOH’s funding and its prompt and correct liquidation.
Aguilar said the city government was also awarded with a plaque of appreciation for its support to different healthcare programs providing equitable access to quality and affordable health care services in accordance with the universal health care.
The awarding and recognition of cities with the high quality of health service was held at the Manila Hotel during the 35th anniversary of the DOH-MMCHD on Oct. 14.
The vice-mayor said aside from the two awards received by the government, a cash grant worth P150,000 was also awarded to the city which can be used as additional funding for health services and projects for Las Piñeros.
Aguilar said the two recognitions from DOH-MMCHD is an inspiration for the city government to improve more on the health services it is providing to the residents.
She added that improving health services is part of Mayor Imelda Aguilar’s “Tuloy ang Tapat at Progresibong Serbisyo.”
