GMA's radio stations lead ratings

GMA Network reported that its flagship AM and FM radio stations, Super Radyo DZBB and Barangay LS 97.1, continued to dominate Mega Manila ratings based on the September 2022 Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement data.

In a statement, the network said Super Radyo DZBB 594’s audience share for the month closed at 43.5 percent. Its nearest competitor DZRH even declined in the said period ending at 28.2 percent.

DZBB recorded a total reach of 1.3 million for the month with a station loyalty of 91.7 percent. Leading across all dayparts, the station sustained its listenership stronghold in the morning block.

Super Radyo DZBB 594’s “Super Balita sa Umaga” was again the station’s highest-rating show for September. It ranked the highest across the Weekday, Saturday, and Sunday top programs lists.

On the other hand, GMA’s FM station Barangay LS 97.1 registered a 40.9 percent audience share in September. Its closest competitor, 90.7 Love Radio, only got 12.3 percent.

Recording a total reach of 6 million, 86.1 percent of Barangay LS listeners remained loyal to the station for said period.

The station’s highest rating show, “Barangay Love Stories” hosted by Papa Dudut, consistently led all FM programs by wide margins. The Barangay Love Stories Podcast likewise raked in the most listeners in the Apple Podcast as of October 13.

Also last month, Super Radyo DZBB and Barangay LS 97.1 were respectively named Most Outstanding AM and FM Radio Station of the Year at the 2022 Asian Business Excellence Award.

Barangay LS’ Songbook bagged the Most Outstanding FM program, while Mama Emma was hailed Most Outstanding Female DJ, and Janna Chu Chu as Most Outstanding Male DJ.

Netizens can also catch some of Barangay LS’ well-loved shows on YouTube with new episodes every week, and get the latest updates on its official accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
