They were married 22 years ago and are now elected councilors in their respective cities. Now, actress Aiko Melendez has a message for her ex Jomari Yllana: "Am happy with your forever, but please include in your life your children, especially our son Andre."

The actress was asked to comment on Jomari's recent pronouncement that he found his "first and last love," his forever in his girlfriend Abby Viduya, who was known as Priscilla Almeda in the 1990's.

Referring to Jomari, Aiko said, "Ang lagi kong iniisip ay ang kapakanan ng anak ko, so yung masaya sya sa lovelife nya ibigay natin yun pero sana isama nya sa pagiging buo nya as a person and pagiging buo ng buhay nya ang panganay nyang anak si Andre at yung dalawa pa nyang anak."

Aiko and Jomari's son Andre is now 24 years old. He is under contract with Viva Artists Agency.

The actress said she has always told her Andre "not to hate" his dad. But she still wishes for father and son to spend quality time together.

"I believe itong age ni Andrei ang pinakamasayang maging kabarkada. It's the best time for father and son bonding," she added.

Aiko also said she hopes for her five-year relationship with Zambales Rep. Jay Khonghun to end in marriage but added that she can't push for it and propose because she's the woman.

She also admitted that she wants to "freeze" her eggs to have another child but is having second thoughts since her daughter Marthena wants to be the youngest in the family.

The lovely Quezon City councilor talked to entertainment media during an event introducing the cast of "Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters" in Luxent Hotel, Quezon City. Aiko plays the role of Lily in the series, one of the daughters of a taipan from different mothers. She revealed that Mother Lily Monteverde specifically requested for her inclusion as one of the leading characters. It will be recalled that Aiko was a Regal Baby.

"Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters" - produced by Regal Entertainment - premieres on Oct. 31 in the Kapuso network.
