Abandoned NPA training camp found in Tarlac

CAMP Francisco S. Macabulos, Tarlac City – Authorities discovered an abandoned New People’s Army training camp in Sitio Capcap, Barangay Magao, Concepcion, Tarlac on Saturday, Oct. 15.

Lt. Col. Noriel Rombaoa, Concepcion police chief, said a reliable informant revealed the location of the camp.

A joint operation led to the discovery of the camp.

The camp yielded a Colt M16 rifle, three long M16 magazines with 22 bullets, short M16 magazine with 20 bullets, 58 boxes with 30 M16 bullets each, and two buckets.

Recovered items were taken to the Concepcion PNP station for documentation and proper disposition.

​Col. Erwin Sanque, Tarlac police chief, attributed the discovery of the camp to the good relationship between the community and government forces.
