CAMP FRANCISCO S. MACABULOS, Tarlac City -- Two most wanted persons including a member of Tanedo Criminal Gang allegedly responsible for the proliferation of illegal drugs in Tarlac province were arrested during separate manhunt operations on Friday, Oct. 14, in Mabalacat, Pampanga.
The operation was conducted by Concepcion Philippine National Police at around 5 p.m. in Brgy. Dau in Mabalacat town.
Lt. Col. Noriel B. Rombaoa, Chief of Concepcion PNP, identified the arrested as Jayson Pineda, 38, a resident of Brgy. Alfonso, Concepcion who has pending case in violation of Sec. 11, Art. II of R.A. 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Act).
Pineda was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Anarica J. Castillo-Reyes, acting Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 66, Capas, Tarlac.
The recommended bail for the temporary liberty of the accused who is a member of the Tanedo Criminal Gang was P120,000.
The said criminal gang is believed to be behind the proliferation of illegal drugs in Tarlac province, according to the police.
Meanwhile, manhunt operation in Brgy. Ablang Sapang, Moncada, Tarlac resulted in the arrest of Eliexer Gragasin, tagged as the most wanted person in Moncada, Tarlac.
Gragasin was arrested on a Bench Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Violation of Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition (RA 10591) issued by Hon. Luis Circe Velasquez, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 105, Paniqui, Tarlac.
The recommended bail for Gragasin was P100,000.
Both accused are now under the custody of the arresting unit for proper disposition.
