Ralph Robin, King Gurtiza of EAC suspended for rest of season

Emilio Aguinaldo College guards Ralph Robin and King Gurtiza were slapped with full-time suspension for the rest of the season.

Generals head coach Oliver Bunyi confirmed the recent development to the Manila Bulletin Saturday, Oct. 15, in an online exchange.

EAC suffered yet another huge blow given that the Paco-based squad has yet to win a game in nine straight games.

Both Robin and Gurtiza were also absent during EAC's showdown against Letran and San Sebastian on Oct. 12 and Oct. 14, respectively.

Multiple reports, as first disclosed by GMA News Online, stated that the two guards were suspended due to "violation of team rules."

Despite the adversity, Bunyi remained optimistic heading into the next round as the Generals are set to face league-leader College of St. Benilde Blazers on Sunday, Oct. 16.

"We might be struggling but we will be ready to get our first win and it would be a great one against the current number 1 team," said Bunyi.

"Even without Ralph Robin and King Gurtiza, our 15-man line up for tomorrow is very determined and will work very hard to get an upset win."
