PH logs over 2,000 new Covid cases anew

The Philippines is still seeing over 2,000 more Covid-19 cases on Saturday, Oct. 15, the Department of Health (DOH) reported.

Saturday's number of cases was 2,367. This was slightly higher than the 2,459 infections logged the previous day.

As of Saturday, a total of 26,404 patients across the country are still battling with Covid-19, as shown in the DOH Covid-19 tracker.

Metro Manila still recorded the highest number of new cases in the past 14 days with 10,848. It was followed by Calabarzon with 5,345, Central Luzon with 2,796, Davao region with 1,422, and Western Visayas with 1,161.

The number of recoveries increased to 3,890,748 while the death toll jumped to 63,477.

The cumulative number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the Philippines stood at 3,980,629 since the pandemic started in 2020.
