“Once the dialysis center opens, patients no longer need to travel to other municipalities for their treatment, thus providing convenience to them as well as their companions,” Santos said.

The project was implemented by the Bulacan 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) with funding of P19 million.

When completed, the dialysis center may cater to at least 34 patients, said Santos.

Santos, together with Assistant District Engineer Gene S. Leaño led the inspection of the project on Thursday, Oct. 13, to assess the progress of the ongoing construction.

“I am pleased with the progress of the project, which is now 89% completed. But we are aware of the importance of this facility to dialysis patients living in Sta. Maria and nearby areas in the 6th district of Bulacan hence, the assigned project engineer has been instructed to speed up the construction process,” said Santos.

Also joining the project inspection were OIC-Construction Engineer Ace M. Caper, Planning and Design Engineer Michael L. Principe, and Project Engineer Teresita Faustino, Engr. Carl Jonathan Del Rosario, and the project contractor.
