CALASIAO, Pangasinan -- A Nigerian who was walking along Barangay Mancup in this town was shot dead by unidentified assailants on board a sedan on Saturday morning, Oct. 15, the Police Regional Office 1 reported.

The PRO 1 identified the victim as Christopher Clark, 32, and presently renting in Brgy Malabago, also in this town.
Based on the police’s initial reports, about 1:15 a.m. the victim was walking along the highway when allegedly a sedan stopped and its occupants shot him several times.
The victim sustained wounds on different parts of his body which caused his instantaneous death.
The perpetrators fled heading in the north direction.
According to the victim’s wife, her partner left their apartment when somebody called him on the phone. The victim walked toward barangay Mancup where he was shot several times.
Dra. Gemma Rodrigo, Calasiao Municipal Health Officer, responded at the crime scene and declared the victim dead.
Authorities recovered seven fired cartridge cases of alleged caliber 45, one deformed bullet and one ammunition of allegedly a caliber 9mm.
Dragnet and hot pursuit operation is still in progress, according to the police.
