Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2022 Chelsea Fernandez has called on pageant fans to pray for her in the finals of the Miss Globe 2022 beauty pageant which will be held in Tirana, Albania tonight, Oct. 15.

"Please continue to pray for me. Hanggang dulo, Pilipinas, ipaglalaban ka," wrote Chelsea on Instagram.

Chelsea, 22, of Tacloban City, said that she is thankful for the support of pageant fans around the world.

"A few hours from now will be the grand coronation of @themissglobe 2022 and I am forever THANKFUL for all the support that you have given me.

"I will forever cherish this moment that once in my life, I wear the country's sash, and I am proud to take this journey with each of one you," she added.

Chelsea is aiming for a back-to-back victory in this competition won by Filipino-American beauty queen Maureen Montagne also in Albania.

So far, Chelsea already won the Head-to-Head Challenge Event. Fifty-three girls are competing in this year's pageant.

Team Bb. Pilipinas wished Chelsea all the best in the upcoming pageant. "This is it, our dearest Chelsea. BPCI and Araneta City wish you all the best! Good luck."

Stella Marquez Araneta, chairperson of the Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc., wished her good luck.

Last Friday night (early Saturday morning in Manila), Binibini Gabriel Basiano finished in the Top 20 of the Miss Intercontinental 2022 beauty pageant in Egypt.

Basiano joined candidates from Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Mauritius, Japan, Thailand, Australia, Vietnam, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Hungary, Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil, and Colombia in the semifinal round.

Miss Vietnam Le Nguyen Bao was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2022. She was crowned by outgoing Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Elle Obenita of the Philippines.

Other winners were: Puerto Rico, 1st runner-up; Brazil, 2nd runner-up; Nigeria, 3rd runner-up; Germany, 4th runner-up; and Venezuela, 5th runner-up.

"Congratulations Gabrielle for the Top 20 Finish. Thank you for raising our flag ?? We are so proud of you!" wrote the Team Binibining Pilipinas on Facebook.
