PRC sets in-person oathtaking for new mechanical engineers, plant mechanics


The oathtaking for new Mechanical Engineers (ME), Certified Plant Mechanics (CPM), and Professional Mechanical Engineers (PME) will be done face-to-face on Oct. 20 at the National Capital Region, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced.

All attendees shall register at least one day before the date of the oathtaking at PRC's official website to confirm attendance.

PRC said that confirmation slots are limited to only 3,300 for ME, 250 for CPM, and 100 for PME.

New board passers must bring any of the following on the date of the oathtaking: Covid-19 vaccination card, negative RT-PCR results taken within 48 hours before the oathtaking, and antigen test results taken within 12 hours before the oathtaking.

"Those who will not be able to attend the scheduled face-to-face mass oathtaking may opt to attend the online oathtaking on November 18, 2022 or request for a special oathtaking," PRC said.

After the ceremony, inductees need to proceed with their Initial Registration starting Oct. 21 to 31 and Nov. 2 to 4, 2022 by securing an online appointment at PRC's website.
