The Valenzuela City local government, on Tuesday, Oct. 11, welcomed local executives from Imus, Cavite who were on a governance tour and assessment of the city's Disiplina Village Bignay (DVB).

Disiplina Village is a resettlement project built by the local government in Barangay Bignay which can accommodate about 3,240 informal settler families (ISFs) residing in the Tullahan River and other waterways in the city.

The Cavite officials visited the DVB to inspect the construction and implementation of the in-city resettlement project.

The National Housing Authority (NHA) said that DVB has been lauded for its success and has become a model for various local government units' respective resettlement projects for ISFs.

It said the project is the largest in-city resettlement site in the country.

The project finished its fifth and final phase last July with over 3,700 units constructed.

Imus City Councilor Darwin Remulla and city housing office personnel led the Imus, Cavite delegation that visited the resettlement project.
