San Sebastian seeks to get out of its slump as it takes on the hapless Emilio Aguinaldo College side Friday, Oct. 14, in the NCAA Season 98 men's basketball tournament at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

The Stags, who have sustained a four-game skid, hope to get a much-needed bounce back win in their 3 p.m. encounter against the Generals to end their first round campaign on a high note.
San Sebastian, which holds a 2-5 record, has yet to enter the win column again since absorbing defeats at the hands of Lyceum, defending champion Letran, Perpetual, and San Beda beginning Sept. 21.
The Stags' recent heartbreak came from a tight 82-79 loss against the second-seeded Pirates behind the fourth-quarter assault of JM Bravo.
Aside from consistency, San Sebastian, led by the likes of Raymart Escobido, Romel Calahat, and Kenneth Villapando, must start from the basics and hike its scoring from the get-go.
Against Lyceum, it was Escobido and Alex Desoyo who spearheaded San Sebastian with 12 points apiece.
But rookie jitters showed down the stretch on Escobido's part when Mcclaude Guadana's forced him to turn the ball over by stepping out of bounds, which is a crucial and beneficial turnaround for the Pirates.
This could prove an eye-opener and a morale-booster for the Stags though against the hapless Generals, who continued to fall down the 0-8 hole.
EAC won't back down from a fight as well as it recently dealt Letran a significant challenge despite losing 72-68 last Oct. 12.
But it will take more than Allen Liwag, who dropped 20 points against the Knights, for the Generals to find their way in breaking out of their shells.
Key contributions from Adam Doria and Adrian Balowa are also expected for EAC to be able to take its first win of the season.
Meanwhile, the All-Star Game is all set the next day, Saturday, Oct. 15, while the start of the second round kicks off as early as Sunday, Oct. 16.
Two more games from the first round have yet to be played as the NCAA once again moved the dates in between the stacked second round schedule.
San Sebastian will face the now streaking Jose Rizal University on Oct. 21 at 12 p.m. while the final first round match is slated Oct. 26 between current league-leader College of St. Benilde and JRU as well.
