BANGUED, Abra -- In line with the Philippine National Police’s commitment to continuously strengthen the relationship between the police and the community, the Abra Police Provincial Office launched the Revitalized PNP Kasimbayan program held at Camp Colonel Juan Villamor here on Thursday, Oct. 13.

The activity was participated by faith-based leaders and members, advocacy groups, representatives from the Local Government Units (LGU), youth representatives, and community stakeholders.
Mayor Joseph Santo Niño Bernos of La Paz, Abra was the guest of honor and speaker in the program highlighted by the recital of the pledge of commitment, ceremonial signing, and pinning of the Kasimbayanan pin button.

Col. Maly Cula, provincial director of Abra PPO, expressed his gratitude to the community, especially the different sectors of society who came together to promote camaraderie to achieve a progressive and peaceful community.
“Kasimbayan program of the PNP is a shared responsibility between us, your police officers; you, the community we serve, and our religious sectors,” said Cula in his message.
“With our joint efforts, we would attain a more peaceful and progressive Abra. Together, we can become better,” added Cula.
