VP Sara pays last respects to Marilao mayor Silvestre

Vice President Sara Duterte mourned the passing of Marilao, Bulacan Mayor Ricky Silvestre, who died in a car accident on Sunday, Oct. 9.

Duterte visited the wake of Silvestre to pay her last respects to the mayor on Wednesday, Oct. 12.

Silvestre was in the back seat of his white Toyota Land Cruiser driven by Rodel Alcantara when it crashed against an electric pole on Prince Balagtas Avenue at Clark Freeport Zone. He was 65.

“Dumalaw tayo ngayong araw sa tahanan ng yumaong mayor ng Marilao, Bulacan na si Mayor Ricardo “Ricky” Silvestre (We visited today the home of the late mayor Ricardo “Ricky” Silvestre of Marilao, Bulacan),” she said in a Facebook post.

The Vice President shared photos of her visit to the wake of the local chief executive. She was seen holding a picture frame while talking to Silvestre’s wife, Luisa.

“Ipinaabot ko ang aking taos-pusong pakikiramay sa kanyang naulilang pamilya, mga kaibigan, at mga residente ng Marilao (I convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends, and residents of Marilao),” she said.
