SM Prime opening its 7th Cavite mall

SM Prime Holdings, Inc., one of the leading integrated property developers in Southeast Asia, is opening SM City Tanza this Friday, October 14.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the firm said this is its seventh SM Supermall in the Province of Cavite.

SM Prime’s newest mall spans almost 60,000 square meters (sqm) of gross floor area (gfa) providing an exciting combination of shopping, dining and entertainment experiences in the Municipality of Tanza, Cavite’s “Gateway Terminal.”

“We are excited to welcome everyone to SM City Tanza as this marks another milestone and partnership between SM Prime and the Province of Cavite, specifically with the Municipality of Tanza,” SM Prime President Mr. Jeffrey Lim said.

He added that, “It is our aim to offer shopping convenience and fun entertainment to the communities around the area as well as visitors of Cavite and other neighboring destinations in the region.” SM City Tanza, which is located along Antero Soriano Highway, Barangay Daang Amaya II, Tanza, Cavite, will be opening with 89 percent of space lease awarded.

This new mall will provide two levels of shopping experience, along with dining, amusement and service shops led by SM Group’s The SM Store, SM Supermarket, Ace Hardware, SM Appliance Center, Watsons, Pet Express, Miniso, Uniqlo, Crocs, Surplus and BDO.

SM City Tanza will house five cinemas to cater to the growing movie and entertainment enthusiasts in Tanza, a Cyberzone for tech savvies, a food court for more dining option, and a carpark with almost 800 slots for added convenience to its guests.

The new mall will also have public transport terminals for inter-province and inter-region accesses that will further boost tourism and commerce in the area.

“With the continuous improvement in our local economy, we hope that SM City Tanza will be an avenue of opportunities for local SMSE’s to grow as well as for local employment to prosper and drive progress not only in Tanza but in the whole province of Cavite,” Lim said.

SM City Tanza comes after the success of SM City Bacoor, SM City Dasmarinas, SM City Molino, SM City Rosario, SM City Trece Martires, and SM Center Imus, which are all located in the Province of Cavite.
