Pisay-Lanao students bag 6 awards in international chemistry tilt

Six awards were brought home by six students from the Philippine Science High School - Central Mindanao Campus in Balo-I, Lanao del Norte in the World Applied Chemistry Olympiad (WAChO) 2022.

According to the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) System, the WAChO is held virtually on September 17 and 24.
Organized by the Indonesia Scientific Society, WAChO is a new Olympiad concept, WAChO is designed to solve Chemistry problems using creative thinking, critical thinking, and scientific literacy through problem-solving methods.
Mohammad Nur G. Casib won gold while Marco Angelou M. Balhon, Stephen Ray E. Soco, and Theah Grachella T. Tabanao got silver awards.
Meanwhile, Miguel Paolo D. Mabunay and Abdurrazzaq G. Maraye earned silver awards.
WAChO is an international competition platform in which grades 9 to 12 students compete, and the questions are prepared in line with the philosophy of STEM education, especially Chemistry.
Jay Carl M. Agbay and Joy Angeline A. Lactuan served as coaches.
