Over 60,000 Pasig senior citizens to get cash gifts


Around 63,274 senior citizens in Pasig City have been validated by the city’s Office of Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) as of Sept. 30, as they finalized the list of eligible senior citizens who will receive the local government’s annual senior cash gift for 2022.

The OSCA made the announcement on Tuesday, Oct. 11, along with a masterlist of the senior citizens in each barangay in Pasig which can be seen on their official Facebook page.

Among the barangays, Pinagbuhatan has the most validated senior citizens with 8,094, followed by Rosario with 5,447.

The number of validated seniors in each barangay are as follows: 1,825 from Bagong Ilog, 192 from Bagong Katipunan, 2,425 from Bambang, 1,209 from Buting, 3,082 from Caniogan, 1,952 from Dela Paz, 879 from Greenpark Manggahan, 2,388 from Kalawaan, 838 from Kapasigan, 1,267 from Kapitolyo, 505 from Malinao, 3,443 from Manggahan (Proper), 3,259 from Maybunga, 3,314 from Napico, 545 from Oranbo, 2,074 from Palatiw, 2,100 from Pineda, 928 from Sagad, 717 from San Antonio, 1,292 from San Joaquin, 390 from San Jose, 2,697 from San Miguel, 332 from San Nicolas, 3,870 from Santolan, 546 from Sta. Cruz, 3,590 from Sta. Lucia, 168 from Sta. Lucia, 168 from Sta. Rosa, 946 from Sto. Tomas, 882 from Sumilang, and 2,078 from Ugong.

The validation period was from May 24 to Sept. 30. OSCA is no longer validating other applicants as of now.

Those who have concerns regarding validation may proceed and report to the OSCA Communications (OSCOMMS) Team at the Senior Citizens Information Desk of their respective barangays or the OSCA Operations Office at the 4th floor of the city hall on Wednesday, Oct. 12.

They are required to bring their Senior IDs, signed as proof of validation.

Through one of the local government’s financial assistance programs for senior citizens, senior citizens receive cash worth P3,000 usually by the end of every year.

The cash gifts may be claimed via the Landbank ATM cash cards given to seniors or a manual payout scheme scheduled by the OSCA.
