President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has encouraged all public lawyers in Visayas to participate in the two-day regional convention of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.

Through Memorandum Circular No. 8 issued by Malacañang on Wednesday, Oct. 12, Marcos urged government lawyers in Visayas to join the Joint Eastern and Western Visayas Regional Convention of the IBP from Oct. 13 to 14.
The memorandum covers all lawyers employed in agencies and other offices of the government, including government-owned or controlled corporations, government financial institutions, and state universities and colleges in Visayas.
All lawyers in these offices "are encouraged to participate," the memorandum read.
Those interested may attend on official time, provided that they are issued the pertinent clearances by their respective heads of office and their participation in the convention will not adversely affect the operations of their offices and delivery of services to the public, it added.
The convention, with a theme: Lawyers bridging relevance and resilience in a changing world, will be held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City.
