MTV announced the nominees for the MTV EMAs that will be held at PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany.
For Best Asia Act, the nominees are TXT (Korea), Maymay Entrata (Philippines), Niki (Indonesia), Silvy (Thailand) and The Rampage from EXILE TRIBE (Japan).
The nominees for Best K-pop are BLACKPINK, BTS, ITZY, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Seventeen and TWICE.
BLACKPINK also got nominated for Best Video for “Pink Venom, Biggest Fans and Best Metaverse Performance for “BLACKPINK The Virtual | PUBG.”
BTS also bagged nominations for Biggest Fans and Best Metaverse Performance for “BTS | Minecraft.”
Harry Styles led with seven nominations including Best Artist, Best Song and Best Video.
Taylor Swift got six such as Best Artist, Best Pop and new EMA category Best Longform Video. Nicki Minaj and Rosalia each earned five nominations including for Best Song and Best Artist.
Beginning on Oct. 12, fans can vote for their favorites across 17 categories, including Best Song, Best Artist, Best Collaboration, and two all-new categories: Best Longform Video and Best Metaverse Performance at www.mtvema.com until Nov. 10.
