Three former, one active CTG members voluntarily surrender to authorities

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Three former and one active members of the communist terrorist group (CTG) voluntarily surrendered to authorities on Monday, Oct. 10.

Authorities facilitated the voluntary surrender of ‘Ka Celso,’ a former Red Fighter of Bagong Hukbong Bayan (BHB).

He also surrendered a Cal. 38 revolver with two ammunition, Rifle Grenade, and 40 MM High Explosives (M203).

Two former CTG members identified as ‘Ka Arman’ and ‘Ka Andong’ also surrendered to the authorities.

‘Ka Arman’ was a former rebel under Arcadio Peralta Command operating in the area of Cuyapo, Nampicuan, Guimba, Talugtog, and Licab, Nueva Ecija.

‘Ka Andong’ was a former member of Milisyang Bayan-Yunit Paniktik of Komiteng Larangan Gerilya Tarlac-Zambales who voluntarily surrendered to the Olongapo City Police Office and other concerned units.

‘Ka Andong’ turned in one Smith & Wesson caliber .38 revolver with four rounds of ammunition.

Similarly, ‘Ka Rudy,’ an active member of Larangan Girilya sa Patag Uno (LGP1), also decided to turn his back from the rebel movement and voluntarily surrendered to Nueva Ecija Police and other concerned units.

Ka Rudy surrendered his improvised shotgun, one magazine and two 12-gauge ammunitions.

Police Regional Office Region 3 director BGen Cesar Pasiwen said that the efforts of Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) have been the contributory factors for the continuous surrender of more active and former members of CTG.
