Three drug pushers arrested in separate operations in Quezon, P993,00 worth of shabu seized
LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Nearly a million pesos worth of shabu were seized from three drug peddlers who were arrested in separate police operations in Tiaong and Atimonan towns on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
The Tiaong Police arrested the suspects Jayson Gonzalez, 37, a resident of Gulang-gulang, Lucena City, and Rick Vito Zuniega, 39, a resident of Calumpang in Tayabas City while in the act of selling shabu to a police officer on Tuesday at 2:30 a.m. in Tiaong town.
The raiding cops found an estimated 38.96 grams of shabu in three sachets with a street value of P792,784 from Gonzales and Zuniega.
Police said both suspects were included in the drug watch list of the Tiaong Philippine National Police.
In another operation, the Atimonan police caught Romel Fresnillo Lubrico, 43, a resident of Barangay Zone 1 in Atimonan town at around 09:05 in the morning on Monday, Oct. 10.
The police seized some 9.83 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P200,532.
Lubrico was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Michael Vito, assistant judge of Regional Trial Court, Branch 172, in Gumaca for violation of section 11, Article II of R.A. 9165.
Police filed against the suspects a violation of sections 5 and 11 of Article 2 of R.A. 9165 while they were under the custody of Lucena City Police for proper documentation and physical examination.
