The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) will be deploying 10,000 policemen to secure the All Saints and All Souls' Days, locally referred to as Undas.
NCRPO spokesperson Police Lt. Col. Dexter Verzola said the policemen will be tasked to secure cemeteries, churches and transport hubs amid the expected exodus to the provinces.
"Initially, we will be deploying 10,000 on the days leading to the Undas. The full deployment will happen a day before the Undas," said Verzola.
Both private and public cemeteries, according to Verzola, will be secured.
He said policemen will be reinforced by barangay security officers and other augmentations from various government agencies and stakeholders.
