The Maynilad Water Service Inc. announced that three cities in Metro Manila will experience low pressure to no water supply on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
According to the advisory of Maynilad, the three cities that experienced low pressure to no water supply were Makati, Parañaque and Pasay City due to low water elevation in Ipo Dam.
The affected communities in Makati City were Bangkal, Magallanes, Pio Del Pilar and San Isidro while in Parañaque, the two affected barangays were Sto. Nino and Tambo.
In Pasay City, the communities affected by the low pressure to no water supply were Barangays 149 to 153, 156, 159, 161, 162,163, 165, 166,167, 169, 171 to 175, 178,179, 184, 190, and Pio del Pilar.
The Maynilad said they are deploying water tankers to deliver potable water to the affected areas.
The estimated time of resumption of water service will be 11:00 p.m.
Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the city government distributed mineral water to the affected barangays as part of the city government’s project “Libreng Patubig.”
