Bulacan opens Pandi District Hospital's outpatient clinic

Pandieños will now have easy access to a medical facility after the outpatient clinic of Pandi District Hospital in Barangay Bunsuran 1st, Pandi, Bulacan was officially opened on Monday, Oct. 10.

Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro led the opening ceremony of the 25-bed capacity outpatient clinic that will initially provide outpatient services with two medical doctors to be assigned temporarily, two nurses, one attendant, and four security guards.

According to Dr. Protacio Bajao of the Bulacan Medical Center, the hospital is open from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

However, the remaining departments of the hospital are expected to become operational next year.

The hospital sits on an 8,000 square meters property with a floor area of 1,824.55 square meters. It will have a second floor and a one-storey building next to it.

According to Provincial Engineer Glenn D. Reyes, a total of P40,047,600 PGB funds and P19,180,064 National Housing Authority (NHA) funds were spent to erect the edifice.

In his message before the blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremonies, Fernando thanked the NHA as well as the Municipal Government of Pandi and Rep. Ambrosio Cruz for their support.

“Saludo tayo sa kanilang suporta. Maraming, maraming salamat po. Kailangan nating palakasin talaga ang health services at sa sama- samang pagtutulungan, ngayon po ay nakatindig na at makapagseserbisyo na ang outpatient clinic ng Pandi District Hospital,” (We salute them for their support. Thank you so much. We really need to strengthen our health services and be united now that the outpatients clinic of Pandi District Hospital is operational)," the governor said.

Fernando also plans to rehabilitate Calumpit District Hospital and provide universal health care for Bulakenyos.
