58 law breakers apprehended during weeklong Tarlac police operation
CAMP FRANCISCO S. MACABULOS, Tarlac City – A total of 58 law violators were arrested by Tarlac police in its continuous conduct of anti-criminality campaign in Tarlac Province from October 3 to Oct. 9.
Out of 58 arrested persons, 26 have standing warrants of arrest, 13 were arrested for illegal gambling, eight were nabbed for illegal drugs and 11 were arrested during police response.
Twenty-six wanted persons including five provincial most wanted were arrested during separate manhunt operations conducted by different police stations and Provincial Mobile Force Companies.
Those arrested were accused of murder, homicide, qualified rape, qualified theft, serious physical injuries, less serious physical injuries, bigamy, estafa, oral defamation, RIR in serious physical injuries, less serious physical injuries and damage to property and violations of RA 7610, RA 11199, and BP 22 (Bouncing checks law).
Meanwhile, anti-illegal gambling operations conducted by personnel of Camiling Police resulted in the arrest of 13 individuals while in the act of playing Mahjong and Cuajo. Different illegal gambling paraphernalia and bet money amounting to P25,000 were confiscated during the operations.
Seven individuals were arrested during separate anti-illegal drug operations resulting in the confiscation of a total of 16 plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the buy-bust money used during the operations.
All the arrested individuals are now under the custody of the arresting units for proper disposition.
