ILOILO CITY – The Philippine National Police (PNP) has revived its partnership with the religious sector in Western Visayas.

The Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 re-launched on Monday, Oct. 10, the Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan (Kasimbayanan) program in Camp Delgado, the police regional headquarters based here.
The Kasimbayanan is a synergized and collaborative partnership between the PNP and private partners, especially the religious sector, for the holistic transformation of the police organization to enable it to better serve and protect the community.
“With everybody involved, this can bring cooperation and support from the community. This will help in the maintenance of peace and order,” said Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-6 Assistant Regional Director Maria Calpiza Sardua.
With Kasimbayanan, the PNP can be community-based bridge builders and get the community more involved in preempting and solving crimes.
Among those from the religious sector that pledged commitment to Kasimbayanan were Monsignor Meliton Oso, Pastor Richard Lee Martin Sr., Ustadsz Jerry Macala, and Winefredo “Ka Winnie” Doblizo Jr.
