
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded a 4.1-magnitude earthquake in Antique province on Monday morning, Oct. 10.
Phivolcs said the quake struck 11 kilometers (km) southeast of Anini-y, Antique at around 11:15 a.m., Monday.
The earthquake was felt at Intensity IV (moderately strong) in Anini-y, Antique and Intensity III (weak) in Tobias and Fornier, Antique.
Phivolcs said the earthquake was tectonic, which means it was caused by the movement of an active fault near the area.
However, it does not expect damage or aftershocks because of this earthquake.
