Robin Padilla undergoes 'heart procedure'

Actor-turned-senator Robin Padilla was rushed to the hospital recently.

His wife, TV host Mariel-Rodriguez-Padilla made this public in a social media post Saturday.

Fans need not worry though as Robin is now in recovery.

Mariel related, "We had a successful heart procedure, it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions for us but now ultimately we are just so grateful and we are so blessed that Robin is okay."

She went on to thank doctors, nurses, among other people, who helped them through the ordeal.

Mariel wasn't clear as to the exact procedure done on her husband.

Recall that only last June, Robin was also rushed to a hospital while in Spain due to hypertension.
