CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – A family of five was injured in a fire that hit a commercial establishment in Barangay Makiling here on Friday, Sept. 30.
Police identified the victims as Rolando Oliver, 27, caretaker of the establishment; his wife, Hanna Rose, 27, and their three children.
They sustained first and second-degree burns and were taken to a hospital in this city.
Police said the fire started around 6 p.m. and reached the second alarm.
The Oliver family was trapped before they were rescued by the Calamba Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The BFP declared the fire out after one-and-a-half hours.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, along with the extent of the damage.
