Just like his brother Jimuel Pacquiao, Michael Pacquiao has decided to test his mettle in boxing.

And Michael, the second son of eight-division world boxing champion and former Sen. Manny Pacquiao, did not disappoint in his debut bout on Sunday, Oct. 9.

Better known as a musician and rapper, the 20-year-old Pacquiao outclassed Nathaniel Ruiz and won by decision in their amateur bout at BF Paranaque Phase 1 Gymnasium as part of the Kamao ng Kabataan: Paranaque Edition.

Michael, who opted to "try boxing," connected a couple of hooks on his orthodox stance from the get-go.

The second round saw Pacquiao with a bleeding nose but that did not hinder him to unleash combinations and corner Ruiz to the ropes at one point.

Ruiz, however, did not falter as well and responded with multiple combos as well.

Both boxers, however, seemed gassed out come the third round as the two exchanged punches from the start.

Action continued midway through the third round as Pacquiao continued the onslaught, mixing it up with some body shots this time.

Ruiz was not about to give up though as he responded well with speedy combinations against a much taller and bulkier opponent in Pacquiao.

Pacquiao's victory marks his debut in combat sports, particularly in boxing.

His older brother Jimuel, who has since then decided to follow the footsteps of their father, meanwhile, has been training at the Wild Card Gym in California in the hopes of becoming a professional boxer.

Only time will tell if Michael decides to pursue boxing as well or stick to becoming a rapper. After all, he became an award-winning rapper following his viral song "Hate."
