Vice President Sara Duterte’s office has extended various types of social services and assess the situation of the education sector in 16 provinces across the country since she assumed office on June 30.
Duterte, who serves as Education secretary, has traveled to 20 cities and municipalities and made three island visits in her first 100 days in office.
Her nationwide trips were all for official engagements, from the conduct of Office of the Vice President (OVP) programs and activities to being a special guest in various events of local government units (LGUs).
The Vice President also had school visits during her out-of-town trips to personally check the situations of learning institutions so she would know and address their concerns.
Among these schools that Duterte had visited were Typhoon “Odette”-hit Clarin National School of Fisheries in Bohol and Triana Elementary School on Limasawa Island in Southern Leyte, where she launched the OVP “PagbaBAGo” program last Aug. 10.
