MB Daily News Update: Huge fuel price increase expected next week
The price of diesel could go up by as much as P6.20 per liter, while kerosene and gasoline will also cost more next week as the peso continued to depreciate against the dollar, and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) decided to cut oil production.
A Commission on Audit (COA) finding showed the government-owned and -controlled corporations (GOCCs) incurred P691.7 billion in losses in 2021, and this will be included in the agency’s report to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Meanwhile, the President lamented the tragedies that struck neighboring countries Indonesia and Thailand – a stadium stampede that killed 134 people, and a pre-school massacre that claimed the lives of 37 people, including, 34 children.
