The Taguig police arrested two people in a buy-bust operation conducted in Barangay Central Signal on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
Arrested during an operation by the Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit along Coronel Bravo Street were Alger Conor, 38, and Yelly Rose Torres, 23.

Confiscated from the suspects were 14 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 20.3 grams valued at P138,040, one weighing scale and P500 bill used as buy-bust money.
The police will charge the two suspects for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). The drug evidence will be turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for analysis.
Meanwhile, the SPD said an American and Korean were arrested for trying to smuggle in shabu to the Bureau of Immigration Detention Center in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig on Oct. 4.
The suspects were identified as Robert Boling Jr., 41, an American citizen, and Kwon Hyeok Soo, 41, a Korean national.
According to SPD, the center’s acting warden informed his team leader about the contraband that was being delivered to the facility. The team leader advised the K9 handler to inspect the items they were delivering.
The K9 dog sat on the items, which meant that illegal drugs were present. Authorities inspected the items and discovered two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 30 grams with a value of P204,000.
The suspects are detained at the detention center.
