Student placed under police custody for bringing gun in school

A 17-year-old student was placed under police custody for bringing a gun inside a school in Marilao, Bulacan, on Monday afternoon, Oct. 3.

Marilao police said the student was apprehended at about 2:30 p.m. after receiving a report that he was seen carrying a firearm inside the school in Barangay Abangan Sur, Marilao.

Recovered from him were a .45-caliber pistol with serial number 70S14576 with a magazine loaded with live ammunition, and two pieces magazine for .45-caliber gun.

Bulacan police said they were trying to take the statements of the parents or guardians of the arrested minor.

Police said coordination with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) is being made for the custody of the apprehended suspect.
