SPD vows justice for slain veteran radio broadcaster

Southern Police District Director (SPD) Director Col. Kirby John Brion Kraft strongly denounced the shameless and brutal killing of DWBL radio broadcaster Percival Mabasa in Las Piñas City on Monday night and vowed that justice will be served in the newsman's slay.

Kraft said the SPD and the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) created Special Investigation Task Force (SITG) Group “Percival Mabasa” that will conduct a fair and thorough investigation of the case until the killers, including the mastermind, are put behind bars.

“We offer our sincerest condolence to the family of the late Percival Mabasa. Rest assured that SPD will do everything to solve this case and give justice to the slain media practitioner,” according to Kraft's statement issued on Tuesday, Oct. 4..

Mabasa was on board his black vehicle with plate number NGS 8294 when he was shot by an unidentified suspect on board a motorcycle.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. along Aria St., Sta. Cecilla Village, Talon 2, Las Piñas City after Mabasa's vehicle was bumped by another vehicle.
